Guiet location , comfortable room , helfull staff.
Room very comfortable and the staff were polite
Person in the next room was very noisy! Not the fault of the Feathers!
Very welcoming staff and good service.Food was good and the room was well sized and comfortable. Most importantly it was quiet!
The comfortable bed was huge big enough for a family!
Good easy to find in a great location with plenty of nearby walks .
Only downside was at breakfast no-one bothered to sweep up the floor in dining room as there were food lying about under some of the tables from previous evening I guess . Did not look pretty.
The best thing about Feathers Inn is its relative proximity to Stansted Airport. If you are travelling by car and need a place to stay the night before/after a flight, it is a really nice place, lovely atmosphere, converted stables, plenty of character, and very affordable the night we stayed, with breakfast included in the price. It took a bit of effort to research/find the place as we dont have GPS. Also at a minimum 20 minute drive, which could be more during rush hour traffic, there were other places closer to the airport. However, in the end our little stay in Feathers Inn seemed a little too short! This is the kind of place myself and my partner like to stay in. If you have a good map/GPS system, would recommend.
I stay there quite a lot on route to london. I like real ale and they have two quality beers on ,also the food is good with the added cosy atmosphere in the bar area.
The Feathers is your typical countryside inn nestled in a little hollow oozing character and charm. Stayed here a few times and ALWAYS a favourite! The food on offer is of high quality, reasonably priced and served efficiently. Comfort standards within the rooms are are good with a cosy feeling. Ample parking, excellent pub atmosphere with real ales.. A definate plus!! Overall a quiet cosy venue.
Phone signal can sometimes be low (being in a dip) but only occasionally. Reception is not manned continually but a bell to the front bar brings staff fairly quickly.
very easy to find the food served was more than adiquet, the staff were very friendly all in all a very nice break wiil be back.
not much space for toiletries in the bathroom, shelf was missing and also a few people had trouble entering there rooms, the lock and handle were very close together bad design, apart from that fair critisism it was very good.
i was very pleased with my stay here, very comfortable bed & room. Lovely pub to visit & friendly breakfast staff. Would definatly stay here again. Very good value for money.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location was good. We booked the hotel because the price was good.
The cleanliness of our inital room was poor. We called the duty manager and he immediately arranged for us to be moved to another room.
My wife and I stayed here as we were attending a wedding at the Hanbury Manor (we have stayed in the Hanbury Manor before but was not good value for the money it cost) We had a meal in the pub which was lovely the staff were brilliant can not fault this at all. The rooms were lovely with a oldie wodie feel, and I can honestly say plenty of mirrors brillant with great lighting which made the wife happy. Great night sleep bed very comfy, breakfast first class. we do not live far from here but would book again we loved it.
Nope its was a charming hotel in a lovely location perfect
Booked a room online and then friend booked me un as well soacidentally double booked could not get a refund when obvious error made over a weeks notice was given
Ease of location close to Ware for my business...great hotel, good menu and breakfast..
Room 1 - there seems to be a water pipe or boiler in the wall next to the bed head, which starts up avery hour or so and runs for 10 minutes...tended to wake me up...but apart from that comfy room..
